Guidelines for Registration
REQUIREMENTS FOR UIPE CORPORATE MEMBERS UNDER JAC AND EAST AFRICAN DIRECT APPLICANTS FOR PERMANENT REGISTRATION
- 2 COPIES OF A CAREER REPORT
- 1 COPY OF A TECHNICAL REPORT
- 1 SCANNED PDF SOFT COPY OF CAREER REPORT AND 1 SCANNED PDF COPY OF TECHNICAL REPORT ON A FLASH DRIVE (With all Attachments)
ARRANGEMENT OF THE CAREER REPORT
- Download ERA 1 Form from www.erb.go.ug under REGISTER
- Fill it properly, major concern is no. 6 practical training and No.7 – you state the engineers you trained under, the period of that training – signed and stamped
- On the Form, Sponsors should be in your Field of specialization i.e. if you are Civil, get Civil registered engineers to Sign and Stamp for you. They should be fully paid up with ERB
- Attach corporate membership letter scanned in colored
- Attach UIPE Corporate membership certificate
- Attach detailed career report
- Attach Certified Academic Certificates, Transcripts, UNEB Certificates and Verification letters (copies scanned in colored) and any other qualifications e.g Masters. PHD, certificates etc.
- Attach letters of employment/service contracts etc
- Attach any other CPD’s
- 2 Passport photographs
- Attach Organogram
- Spiral bind and submit Career report in Duplicate (2 Copies)
- Pay application fees of Ugx. 400,000 by Bank or MTN Mobile Money

REQUIREMENTS FOR NON-EAST AFRICAN ENGINEERS APPLYING FOR TEMPORARY REGISTRATION
- 2 COPIES OF A CAREER REPORT
- 1 SCANNED PDF/SOFT COPY OF CAREER REPORT ON A FLASH DRIVE (With all Attachments)
- MINIMUM – BACHELORS DEGREE HOLDER
ARRANGEMENT OF THE CAREER REPORT
- Download ERA 2 Form from www.erb.go.ug under REGISTER
- Fill it properly, major concern is no. 6 practical training and No.7– you state the engineers you trained under, the period of that training – signed and stamped
- On the Form, Sponsors should be in your Field of specialization i.e if you are Civil, get Civil registered engineers to sign and stamp for you. They should be fully paid up with ERB
- Attach professional membership registration as an engineer in your home Country scanned in colored-
- Attach membership certificate from your home country
- Attach detailed career report (Pictorial preferably)
- Attach Certificate of Good Conduct from Interpol
- Attach certified Academic certificates, Transcripts, (copies scanned in colored) and any other qualifications e.g Masters. PHD, certificates etc.
- Attach letter of Recommendation from Employer – stating contract period, and duration of the project/employment and Recommendation letter from the Ugandan employment agency (client) confirming your role on the project.
- Attach letters of employment/service contracts etc
- Attach valid passport (bio-data page) and Entry Visa (scanned in colored)
- Attach any other Continuous Professional Development CPD Certificates
- 2 Passport photographs
- Spiral bind and submit Career report in Duplicate (2 copies)
- Applicant should hold a BSc. in any Engineering field
- Pay application fees of Ugx. 400,000 by Bank or MTN Mobile Money

- 2 COPIES OF A CAREER REPORT
- 1 SCANNED PDF OF CAREER REPORT ON A FLASH DRIVE (With all Attachments)
ARRANGEMENT OF THE CAREER REPORT
- Download ERA 3 form from www.erb.go.ug under REGISTER
- Fill it properly, major concern is no. 6 practical training and No.7 – you state the engineering cadres you trained under, the period of that training – signed and stamped
- On the Form, Sponsors should be in your Field of specialization i.e. if you are Civil, get Civil registered Engineers / Technicians / Technologists to Sign for you (and Stamp, if they are registered Engineers). They should be fully paid up with ERB
- Attach detailed career report (A template can be requested for from registration@erb.go.ug)
- Attach certified Academic Certificates, Transcripts, UNEB Certificates and Verification letters (copies scanned in colored) and any other qualifications e.g Bachelors, Masters, certificates etc.
- Attach letters of employment/service contracts etc.
- Attach any other Continuous Professional Development (CPD’s)
- Attach UIPE membership letter and Certificate both scanned in colored (if you are already a member of UIPE)
- Attach Organogram / Organisation Chart of your Current Employment
- 2 Passport photographs (attached on the form)
- Spiral bind and Submit Career report in Duplicate (2 Copies)
- Pay application fees of 100,000 for TECHNICIANS and Ugx. 200,000 for TECHNOLOGISTS by Bank or MTN Mobile Money
