Namugera

Eng Namugera Ronald is the Registrar of the Engineers Registration Board (ERB) effective 1st February 2016. He is a registered civil engineer with experience in roads, bridges and geotechnical engineering fields. He has also acquired experience in public road infrastructure services procurement, road maintenance management and financing. He works at the Uganda Road Fund as Manager for Policy & Strategy.

He holds a BSc (Hons) in civil engineering from Makerere University (First Class), an MSc from the University of Nottingham, UK (Distinction), MBA from Edinburgh Business School, Heriot-Watt University, UK (Distinction). He is a Chevening Alumni (Chevening Scholar 2008/9).

He is a past Chairman of the Uganda Institution of Professional Engineers (UIPE) – Kampala Branch, past Chairman of Membership Training and Education Committee (MET) of UIPE. He is the past Chairman, East African Community Mutual Recognition Agreement Coordination Committee of Registrars (2019 – to October 2021). He is a Member, Uganda Institution of Professional Engineers (PE/871), Member, Chartered Institution of Highways and Transportation (MCIHT – 00069205) and a Risk Management Professional, Global Institute for Risk Management Standards (C1700812).
