Eng. CHRISTOPHER TUMUSIIME

Canon Eng. Christopher Tumusiime is a registered Civil Engineer with 30 years’ experience in water and sanitation improvement programmes.

He holds a Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Civil Engineering from
Makerere University and a Master of Science (First Class) in Urban Planning from
Loughborough University, UK.

He is currently Commissioner, Water Utilities Regulation at the Ministry of Water and Environment

He has developed a wide experience in connection with strategic planning and implementation, including institutional development for urban and rural water and sanitation, and a community based approach to conventional water supply and sewerage development. The current assignments include setting up of a robust regulatory framework for urban water and sanitation services in the Ministry of Water and Environment, including monitoring performance of National Water and Sewerage Corporation, Uganda’s leading urban water supply and sewerage services provider, Umbrella Authorities of Water and Sanitation, and other Water supply Utilities spread across the country.

Canon Eng. Tumusiime is also a member of Lions Club International since 2011 and has served the Anglican church both in the Diocese of North Kigezi and Kampala under St. Luke’s Church Ntinda Parish.
